Extra Wide Compression Alpaca Socks

$39.00
  • Built for Wider Calves and Ankles — An extra 1–2 inches of width delivers all the benefits of compression without the binding, squeezing, or red marks that make standard compression socks unwearable for larger legs. (Not designed for calves wider than 18 inches.)
  • Compression That Stays Comfortable All Day — Graduated compression promotes circulation and reduces leg fatigue — whether you're on your feet all shift, sitting through a long flight, or managing everyday swelling. The cushioned footbed and arch support keep every step comfortable.
  • Baby Alpaca — Not a Typical Compression Sock — A 33% baby alpaca blend wicks moisture naturally, regulates temperature through the seasons, and resists odor without chemical treatments — so your legs feel fresh from the first hour to the last.
  • Smooth Fit, No Irritation — A seamless toe box and heel eliminate the friction and pressure points that make most compression hosiery uncomfortable — designed to be worn all day and forgotten about.

  2. All-Season 35–55°F Midweight knit or light cushioning. Everyday wear, three seasons.
  3. Cold-Weather 10–35°F Terry-lined foot or thick knit. Winter days, boots and hikes.
  4. Extreme Cold Below 10°F Terry lining from cuff to toe or our heaviest knit. Long hours in deep cold.

Softness

  1. Smooth Snug performance or compression knit. Sleek, supportive and durable.
  2. Soft Classic alpaca blend with a flat knit. Soft and itch-free.
  3. Extra Soft Baby alpaca blend or a plush terry interior.
  4. Cloud Soft Full terry, baby alpaca lounge knits or hand-knit 100% alpaca. Our softest.

Temperatures are a guide for everyday wear. Active days run warmer.

Standard compression socks weren't made for everyone. The Extra Wide Compression Alpaca Socks exist for the people who've tried compression and found it cutting off circulation instead of supporting it — the binding, the red marks, the sock that rolls down before lunch. These are built wider: an extra 1–2 inches through the calf and ankle so the 15–20 mmHg graduated compression actually does its job without punishing the leg it's supposed to help. (Not designed for calves wider than 18 inches.) The 33% baby alpaca blend keeps things breathable, moisture-wicking, and odor-resistant all day, while a cushioned footbed, arch support, and seamless construction make them comfortable enough to forget you're wearing compression at all.

Note: these socks provide comfort and support but are not a medical device and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. For persistent pain or best results, consult a licensed medical or foot-care professional.

How alpaca fiber stacks up against the two most common sock materials, rated honestly.

This sock: All-Season warmth, Smooth softness

Comparison of alpaca, merino wool and cotton sock fibers
Feature Warrior Alpaca Merino Wool Cotton
Warmth Best Hollow fibers trap heat, warmer than wool without the bulk Good Warm, but needs more bulk for the same heat Poor Little insulation, and none once it gets wet
Moisture-wicking Best Pulls sweat away and dries fast Good Wicks well, dries more slowly Poor Absorbs sweat and stays wet
Odor resistance Best Naturally antimicrobial, stays fresh in boots Good Resists odor well Poor Traps odor after a day of wear
Itch-free softness Best Smooth fiber scales, no prickle Good Soft, though some feel a prickle Good Soft and itch-free
Sensitive skin Best Lanolin-free and hypoallergenic Fair Contains lanolin, which can irritate Good Gentle on most skin
Durability Best Strong fiber that holds its shape Good Durable, prone to felting if overheated Fair Wears thin and stretches out

Reviews

Great product!

"Great product and very nice fit. I like that they go over the calf, but not past the knee like some brands. Very comfortable without putting too much pressure on my toes!!"

— ROBERT R. (5/5)

Great compression experience

"They really helped keep my ankles from getting swollen. Very comfortable and not hot even though I was wearing them all day at the height of summer!"

— RONA P. (5/5)

Quality Good; Sizing an Issue

"I can’t pull these up over my lower shin. Returning them."

— Elizabeth B. (2/5)

Great compression socks.

"These work great, I wear them every day while waiting for my leg to heal."

— Walter H. (5/5)

Compression socks

"If you want an extremely tight fit, these probably aren't for you, but for me they are perfect. I can get them on and they don't bind my legs. They work well for me because I need medium compression. It was always a struggle to the finish for me to get on compression hose, I feel these are sturdy and my finger nails won't go through then as I put them on. Highly recommend for medium compression."

— Nancy H. (5/5)

These are nice socks, but

"These are nice socks, but they are not wide or extra wide calf by no means."

— JON Z. (5/5)

Great Quality Socks

"Love my socks!! I have very sensitive feet and are always cold and even more in the winter, but since I started using these socks is way much better."

— Carlos O. (5/5)
