Smooth, flat seams eliminate friction from heel to toe, while alpaca's naturally thermoregulating fibers keep feet dry and comfortable through every season. Hypoallergenic and odor-resistant, they're a gentle, easy choice for sensitive feet that need a little extra support. Why alpaca

Alpaca vs. Merino Wool vs. Cotton

How alpaca fiber stacks up against the two most common sock materials, rated honestly.

This sock: Light warmth, Soft softness

Comparison of alpaca, merino wool and cotton sock fibers
Feature Warrior Alpaca Merino Wool Cotton
Warmth Best Hollow fibers trap heat, warmer than wool without the bulk Good Warm, but needs more bulk for the same heat Poor Little insulation, and none once it gets wet
Moisture-wicking Best Pulls sweat away and dries fast Good Wicks well, dries more slowly Poor Absorbs sweat and stays wet
Odor resistance Best Naturally antimicrobial, stays fresh in boots Good Resists odor well Poor Traps odor after a day of wear
Itch-free softness Best Smooth fiber scales, no prickle Good Soft, though some feel a prickle Good Soft and itch-free
Sensitive skin Best Lanolin-free and hypoallergenic Fair Contains lanolin, which can irritate Good Gentle on most skin
Durability Best Strong fiber that holds its shape Good Durable, prone to felting if overheated Fair Wears thin and stretches out

Reviews

I love the fit and feel!

"I have size 11 feet and muscular calves. Socks rarely fit comfortably. These Warrior socks are exactly what I was seeking."

— Elizabeth B. (5/5)

Cold weather comfort on the road

"Perfect for frigid winter driving. The feet stay very warm and dry inside boots and aren’t bulky like some boot socks. Recommended for bus drivers, truckers, anyone who drives distances in winter especially."

— KAREN M. (5/5)

Wide calf socks

"I love how I can pull the socks up and they don't get tight. I don’t have the dents on my calves at the end of the day. My legs feel warm when I wear pants and don’t feel a draft. The socks are soft and feel amazing"

— DAWN M. (5/5)

"Too thin foot and ankle"

Favorite Winter Socks

"I love my socks! They are soft, warm, and don't squish my calves at the end of the day. Definitely follow the washing instructions. They don't shrink but they will get a little fuzzy if you don't take care of them."

— ELIZABETH I. (5/5)

Better Than Merino and Temperature Range is Limited

"My quest for a warm sock for winter cycling led me to try the Alpaca wool. While they are warmer and kept my feet drier than merino wool, they still weren't quite up to the challenge in a cycling boot. It wasn't entirely their fault due to the boot liner being somewhat below par, the nature of repetitive foot pressure when cycling and the weather conditions. At 10 deg F my feet were cold in an hour. My ankles were toasty but the thinner foot section didn't make the grade, two thin. They aren't advertised as a cycling sock and not as warm as the Alpaca hunting sock."

— MARK S. (4/5)

Soft and Warm Alpaca

"These are terrific socks! The alpaca is soft and warm and the gauge of the knitting is not too tight or too loose, it is just right. I now own 4 pairs of these socks and I wear them every day and night. For someone who always has cold feet there is nothing better than these alpaca socks. Tje length of these socks is just right - they can be worn pulled up straight or they can be worn folded over. These are the most comfortable socks I have ever owned and I highly re commend them."

— SUSAN H. (5/5)
