Sizing
Toasty Toes come in S, M, L and XL. Size by the size chart, not your shoe size alone. They're thick, so if you're between sizes, size up for a relaxed fit or down for a snug one.
In boots
Most boots take them fine. If yours already fit tight with a regular sock, try them on with Toasty Toes before a long day out, or go with the Half Crew under low boots.
Washing

What makes Toasty Toes Ultimate alpaca socks so warm?
Two things: the lining and the fiber. Most warm socks cushion only the sole, but Toasty Toes Ultimate is terry-lined from toe to cuff, so a layer of trapped air surrounds your whole foot. The blend is 47% alpaca, a fiber that's hollow at the core and holds heat without the bulk of a synthetic thermal sock. Alpaca also wicks moisture, and dry feet stay warmer than damp ones. What's the difference between the Toasty Toes Crew and Half Crew?
Height and a slightly different blend. The Crew is the original. It rises above the ankle, sits well inside boots and gives the most coverage on cold floors. The Half Crew stops at mid-height, so it disappears under low boots and works with sneakers. It runs 49% alpaca against the Crew's 47%. If you can't decide, the 5-Pack gives you three Crew and two Half Crew.
Can I wear Toasty Toes socks to bed?

How do I wash Toasty Toes so they stay soft?
Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle with mild detergent, then lay flat or tumble dry low. Turning them inside out, or using a mesh laundry bag, cuts down on pilling. Skip fabric softener because it coats the fibers and flattens the terry. Alpaca resists odor, so you can usually get three to five wears between washes.
