I’m highly allergic to wool but have never tried Alpaca wool. Is there any way I can try some of the material before purchasing the socks & have to return if they don’t work out?

Alpaca fiber is considered safe for most people who are allergic to sheep’s wool because reactions are typically caused by lanolin, a natural oil found in sheep’s wool. Alpaca fiber is naturally lanolin-free, which is why many wool-sensitive customers can wear alpaca comfortably. Secondary, allergies can be caused by dander on the scales of traditional wool and by allergic responses to that dander. Alpaca has a smoother hair shaft, which eliminates the transfer of dander. When I see 100% wool in America I'm Leary, doubtful, 9 out of 10 I'm right businesses that advertising 100% wool and not how do the business get by with this? Being that even though the product is mix up with synthetic materials. Being that yes a majority of the product is wool technically it can be labeled 100% wool..always go to product description it must state the material makeup. And buy all means you want the.real deal the great country of Ireland plenty of natural resources and 100% authentic wool material. Amen

HI! Thanks for your message. You are correct all wool is not the same. We specialize in Alpaca Wool. We partner with the International Alpaca Association and all of our Alpaca Wool is certified as we purchase either from growers we know, or mills that also specialize in alpaca wool only. You are correct and most alpaca wool that comes from China contains far less Alpaca than what they advertise.
