  2. All-Season 35–55°F Midweight knit or light cushioning. Everyday wear, three seasons.
  3. Cold-Weather 10–35°F Terry-lined foot or thick knit. Winter days, boots and hikes.
  4. Extreme Cold Below 10°F Terry lining from cuff to toe or our heaviest knit. Long hours in deep cold.

Softness

  1. Smooth Snug performance or compression knit. Sleek, supportive and durable.
  2. Soft Classic alpaca blend with a flat knit. Soft and itch-free.
  3. Extra Soft Baby alpaca blend or a plush terry interior.
  4. Cloud Soft Full terry, baby alpaca lounge knits or hand-knit 100% alpaca. Our softest.

Temperatures are a guide for everyday wear. Active days run warmer.

Trail, track, gym floor, it doesn't matter. The All-Terrain Sport Alpaca Socks are built to go wherever your training takes you. A breathable mesh top moves heat and moisture out fast, while a terry-lined footbed cushions every footfall so the miles land easier. Reinforced seams and a no-slip fit keep this sock locked in place instead of bunching up mid-run. And because it's woven from naturally hypoallergenic baby alpaca fiber instead of scratchy wool, your feet stay comfortable, not itchy, through the toughest sessions.

Feature Warrior Alpaca Merino Wool Cotton
Warmth Best Hollow fibers trap heat, warmer than wool without the bulk Good Warm, but needs more bulk for the same heat Poor Little insulation, and none once it gets wet
Moisture-wicking Best Pulls sweat away and dries fast Good Wicks well, dries more slowly Poor Absorbs sweat and stays wet
Odor resistance Best Naturally antimicrobial, stays fresh in boots Good Resists odor well Poor Traps odor after a day of wear
Itch-free softness Best Smooth fiber scales, no prickle Good Soft, though some feel a prickle Good Soft and itch-free
Sensitive skin Best Lanolin-free and hypoallergenic Fair Contains lanolin, which can irritate Good Gentle on most skin
Durability Best Strong fiber that holds its shape Good Durable, prone to felting if overheated Fair Wears thin and stretches out

Super soft! These are heavier

"Super soft! These are heavier weight and warmer than the thin athletic socks. Not a good choice for a 90 degree day. But have been nice and cushy for spring running temps."

Q&A

where are these socks made?
We design all our socks here in the USA, and these in particular are made in Peru. We utilize facilities in both the USA and Peru, depending on the style. Hope this helps!
