Argyle never really goes out of style, and this version earns its place in the rotation. The Argyle Alpaca Crew Sock 3-Pack comes in navy, black, and brown, so you've got a pair for the office, a wedding, or just an ordinary Tuesday. Baby alpaca gives the classic pattern a cashmere-like softness you won't get from cotton, while a Y-gore heel and fitted toe box keep the fit locked in from morning to night. These stay breathable and temperature-regulating no matter the season, and naturally resist odor so you're not thinking about your socks at all. Dress them up, dress them down — three pairs, one easy upgrade.

How alpaca fiber stacks up against the two most common sock materials, rated honestly.

This sock: All-Season warmth, Extra Soft softness

Comparison of alpaca, merino wool and cotton sock fibers
Feature Warrior Alpaca Merino Wool Cotton
Warmth Best Hollow fibers trap heat, warmer than wool without the bulk Good Warm, but needs more bulk for the same heat Poor Little insulation, and none once it gets wet
Moisture-wicking Best Pulls sweat away and dries fast Good Wicks well, dries more slowly Poor Absorbs sweat and stays wet
Odor resistance Best Naturally antimicrobial, stays fresh in boots Good Resists odor well Poor Traps odor after a day of wear
Itch-free softness Best Smooth fiber scales, no prickle Good Soft, though some feel a prickle Good Soft and itch-free
Sensitive skin Best Lanolin-free and hypoallergenic Fair Contains lanolin, which can irritate Good Gentle on most skin
Durability Best Strong fiber that holds its shape Good Durable, prone to felting if overheated Fair Wears thin and stretches out

More comfortable than Merino

"Softer and more comfortable than my merino wool. Time will tell if they holdup like Cloudline."

So far, so good!

"I have had mine for a few weeks. I don't use them exclusively, but in the cold weather and transitioning to the warm indoors, I have found them to be awesome!"

Softest socks

"My husband loves these socks because they are so soft! Plus they keep his feet warm in the winter and they aren't hot in the summer. He wears them all year around. I buy them for my brother for Christmas too, and he loves them. They last for several years being washed and dried on a low setting."

— Teresa W. (5/5)

Dress and Casual

"Great socks warm and not bulky. Good for business formal as well as casual. Highly recommended"

— JOSEPH F. (5/5)

The Perfect Pair of Socks

"These are the most comfortable socks I've ever worn. The thick, soft Alpaca wool keeps my feet comfortable and, thanks to the moisture-wicking characteristics of the material, DRY. Though they are not cheap, they are well worth the expense if you value comfort. This is especially important to me given my lifestyle, which includes regular, long walks, with my family."

— BOB S. (5/5)

Fashionable

"Well crafted & comfortable...rec'd numerous compliments on the color combination."

— BW H. (5/5)
