Some trends are worth bringing back, and the slouch sock is one of them. The Scrunchy Slouch Alpaca Sock has a relaxed, stretchy upper that scrunches, stacks, or slouches exactly how you want to wear it — bunched over boots, cuffed with jeans, or left loose for a lounge day. Underneath the retro look is real alpaca comfort: a feather-soft, breathable blend that keeps feet warm without overheating, plus natural wicking and odor resistance that keep them fresh between wears. It's also naturally hypoallergenic, so the softness holds up even for sensitive skin. Throwback style, present-day comfort.

Why alpaca

Alpaca vs. Merino Wool vs. Cotton

How alpaca fiber stacks up against the two most common sock materials, rated honestly.

This sock: All-Season warmth, Soft softness

Comparison of alpaca, merino wool and cotton sock fibers
Feature Warrior Alpaca Merino Wool Cotton
Warmth Best Hollow fibers trap heat, warmer than wool without the bulk Good Warm, but needs more bulk for the same heat Poor Little insulation, and none once it gets wet
Moisture-wicking Best Pulls sweat away and dries fast Good Wicks well, dries more slowly Poor Absorbs sweat and stays wet
Odor resistance Best Naturally antimicrobial, stays fresh in boots Good Resists odor well Poor Traps odor after a day of wear
Itch-free softness Best Smooth fiber scales, no prickle Good Soft, though some feel a prickle Good Soft and itch-free
Sensitive skin Best Lanolin-free and hypoallergenic Fair Contains lanolin, which can irritate Good Gentle on most skin
Durability Best Strong fiber that holds its shape Good Durable, prone to felting if overheated Fair Wears thin and stretches out

Reviews

Thin

"I’m giving these a three because the foot area is thinner than I expected. I wanted a thick, warm, soft wool sock feel. The quality seems good but the material of the foot area is thin."

— Julie H. (3/5)

Comfortable, Soft, Quality Scrunchy Socks

"These socks are high quality, soft and comfortable. I find myself reaching for them constantly. They look great with skinny jeans, tights and sweat pants."

— KIM B. (5/5)

"I love these socks so much, they're soft, strong, and warm, plus the scrunchy bit is totally rad."

— JOANNA F. (5/5)

Love the socks, 1st time

"Love the socks, 1st time in years my feet are always warm. Will recommend to friends my thoughts and hope they are as impressed."

— CHERYL S. (5/5)

Seem great, super comfy and soft

"Please not that I’m writing this review before a lot of wear or washing has occurred so these are my first impressions. I’m an older woman and have been wearing a knee brace for a year while awaiting a knee replacement. The tightness of the brace creates a little swelling around my smart wool socks. TMI? I’m mentioning this because these socks are way more comfortable and are breathable and soft and not too thick. I also can create a somewhat stylish look when I need to wear something dressier than my norm. I think they are great and I’m glad I discovered them. My new go-to socks."

— Leslie G. (5/5)

"I bought them as a Christmas gift. They are so nice that I will be ordering more for myself. If anyone is looking for that extra little gift, these are what you should get."

— Joan C. (5/5)
