Breakaway Sport Alpaca Quarter-Crew Socks

$22.50
  • Breathable by design — Ventilated mesh across the instep releases heat and moisture the moment your workout picks up, so feet stay cool through miles, reps, or long shifts on your feet.
  • Terry-lined cushioning — A plush terry footbed absorbs impact step after step, cutting the pounding that leads to sore, tired feet on runs and hikes alike.
  • Reinforced heel and toe — Extra density at the two hardest-working spots on the sock means fewer blowouts and more miles before these need replacing.
  • Hypoallergenic alpaca fiber — Naturally lanolin-free alpaca means no wool itch and no irritation, even on the sweatiest gym days.

  3. Cold-Weather 10–35°F Terry-lined foot or thick knit. Winter days, boots and hikes.
  4. Extreme Cold Below 10°F Terry lining from cuff to toe or our heaviest knit. Long hours in deep cold.

  2. Soft Classic alpaca blend with a flat knit. Soft and itch-free.
  3. Extra Soft Baby alpaca blend or a plush terry interior.
  4. Cloud Soft Full terry, baby alpaca lounge knits or hand-knit 100% alpaca. Our softest.

Temperatures are a guide for everyday wear. Active days run warmer.

Some socks show up for the easy days. The Breakaway Sport Alpaca Socks show up for all of them: the 6am run, the gym session you almost skipped, the trail that goes longer than planned. A ventilated mesh instep lets your feet breathe when things heat up, while a terry-lined footbed cushions every stride so the miles land softer. Reinforced heel and toe construction means this sock can take the pounding you're about to give it. And because it's built from naturally hypoallergenic alpaca fiber instead of scratchy wool, your feet stay comfortable, not itchy, no matter how hard you push.

Alpaca Socks are Fantastic!

"My feet sweat all four seasons. Even when cold, they sweat. These socks keep my feet warm and dry year-round. They wear a lot quicker than cotton but well worth the investment. Highly recommend"

Just an okay sock from a value point of view

"These are very comfortable, and fit well, but, after several uses one already has a hole in the toe. I use them for running and I have pairs of traditional socks that have seen hundreds of miles and are still whole. I cna't see these lasting even a few months."

— Len (3/5)

My husband is in muck

Nice socks.

"I sit with my feet on a cement floor all day when I work. These are the only socks I have found to keep my feet warm. These socks are so soft and comfortable. Can’t wait to try them in the summer and see what my feet think then!"

— Alex Y. (5/5)

Q&A

When are the quarter crew alpaca socks for men back in stock?
Hi! So sorry that these are out of stock! We have had tremendous demand for these and some of our other Quarter High heights. We are expecting them to arrive in early April! Thanks for inquiring and hang in there… we’re knitting as fast as we can! :-)
