- Felted Insoles & Liners for Shoes & Boots. I read that these insoles have a needle felting process holds each layer tightly in place. I see one photo of these Felted Insoles & Liners on the product page that shows some sort of stitching or ‘felting at the very edge of the Felted Insoles & Liners. If there is a stitched edge how can these Felted Insoles & Liners be trimmed to size without cutting the stitches? - Hi! Thanks for reaching out. You are not seeing a stitched edge. What you are seeing is the interior core which the fibers are felted to.
